      Key concepts

      Explanations of the key concepts and terms that are used throughout the platform to explain what we do and how we do it.

       

      IMPACTS

      References to technology impacts, this can be understood as the extent to which the technology will automate or augment the work task. At a broader view, these impacts can be explored and understood across the different reports in a number of ways, such as impact on FTE, budget, capacity gain, salary costs, cost savings and more.

       

      INSIGHTS

      On the platform, insights are the analytics presented on each report chart. The insights reveal the outcomes of Faethm's unique machine learning models which run on both your workforce data as well as Faethm's vast datasets. These datasets incorporate a technology taxonomy, an occupation ontology of more than 5,000 occupations, a set of more than 26,000 discrete work tasks and the attributes that comprise each task. This data is supplemented by ILO labour data and 13 census data sets, which captures data for two billion of the world’s workforce.

       

      PREDICTIONS

      When referring to predictions, this is the likelihood or probability of the extent of the impacts of automating and augmenting technologies.

       

      REPORTS

      Reports refer to the 13 different analytics reports on the platform which visualise your workforce data in interactive charts.

       

      TECHNOLOGY

      The technologies referred to on the platform are sixteen emerging types of AI, which, in Faethm's Technology Taxonomy, are categorised into four primary fields of AI: Narrow AI, Broad AI, Reinforce AI and Programmed Intelligence.
