What assumptions are considered?

Faethm presents a scenario of the future impact of technology on jobs based on the assimilation of research sources (including Gartner, MIT and McKinsey) and an expert panel’s current understanding of the growth and adoption rates of technologies.

Faethm’s model is not designed to forecast all likely scenarios based on all possible events. We deliberately ignore macro-economic impacts such as climate change, wars and political unrest.

Users apply Faethm’s scenario modelling and filters to express the various applications of technology, over time, and by variables including organisational unit and location to reflect their strategic view of wider disruptive change. Users should then decide if they wish to incorporate their own macro-economic models to further build out these scenarios.
