Technology Opportunities Dashboard is the first detailed view you’ll see after selecting Discover technology opportunities.

This page gives you a comprehensive breakdown of where automation and augmentation opportunities exist across your workforce, using metrics that help you understand impact from both a people and cost perspective.
You can toggle the dashboard between:

Relative FTEs — showing impact in Full Time Equivalent employees

Weighted Salary — showing impact as a proportion of annual salary cost
This flexibility lets you view opportunities through whichever lens aligns best with your organisation’s objectives.

The dashboard highlights four major opportunity areas, showing where technology can create the highest value in your organisation. These sections update dynamically depending on whether you're viewing data by FTE or Weighted Salary.
Occupational Group Opportunities
Highlights the largest opportunities across:

Organisational units (e.g., Clinical Services Division – 250 FTEs)

Pearson occupation categories (e.g., Medical – 150 FTEs)
When switched to Weighted Salary, these same values reflect the highest salary-based impact rather than workforce volume.
Technology Group Opportunities
Shows which technology group delivers the biggest potential benefit (e.g., Chatbots – 250 FTEs). Technology group is derived out of our Technology Taxonomy modelling. Weighted Salary mode shifts this view to show which tech group offers the strongest financial opportunity.
Task Group Opportunities
Identifies time-heavy or cost-heavy tasks with the most potential for technology uplift.
