Supporting the workforce transformation of a State Government entity

Key Challenge

This State Government entity had a strong focus on continuous improvement to drive alignment in ways of working, recruitment and skills management, sector wide capability uplift and learning and development.

How Faethm helped

Faethm was utilised as a key analytics tool to inform strategic workforce planning to prepare the Public Service Workforce towards 2030. Faethm data and insights were used to present the opportunities associated with internal mobility and reskilling pathways not only between jobs in a Cluster, but across the entire Government.

Outcome

  • Central visibility to identity whole-of-government areas of risk and workforce opportunity for focus and investment.
  • Additional future capability assessment conducted at the whole of government and cluster level to assess areas for investment upskilling.
  • Leadership development and education, incorporating Work of the Future into incoming government briefings and standing workforce planning discussions and projects.
  • Diversity & Inclusion targets supported by Faethm data, ensuring Gender Diversity is not negatively impacted by its digital transformation strategy.
  • Spotlight on regional vs. metro implications.
  • Visibility of the scaled requirements to advance recruitment sourcing strategies for new jobs that will be able to implement, maintain and govern emerging technologies.
  • Reskilling & upskilling efforts are headcount neutral, targets set for % of existing workforce that must fill jobs of the future.
