How do I interpret the Location Map?
The Location Map represents a view of an organisation's location that will experience the greatest technology and workforce opportunity. Locations can be specified at a country, regional, city, and/or office level. Filters can be used to pinpoint specific populations of the workforce in a particular location to understand the size of the impact and the opportunity.
How are the Location Map predictions calculated?
The Location Map insights display both the automation and augmentation job impact predictions across the workforce. These figures are presented as the total workforce impact proportionally by office location of groups of FTEs.
How do I interpret the location breakdown chart?
The Location Breakdown chart represents a focused view of what portion of a workforce’s FTEs will be automated or augmented at each location over a 15-year timeframe. Depending on the organisation, locations are represented at a country, regional, city, and/or office location level. The filter option can be used to pinpoint specific populations of the workforce in a particular location to understand the size of the impact and opportunity.
How is the location breakdown calculated?
The Location Breakdown insights are collated by aggregating job impact predictions across the workforce and displaying the workforce FTE impact proportionally by office location.
How do I apply the insights from both charts?
The Location Map and Breakdown charts can be used to understand where impact is most concentrated in terms of FTEs at risk by workforce location. Depending on an organisation’s structure and how teams are aggregated and dispersed, the charts show where there will be emerging relocation opportunities, the potential to merge locations, and the need to minimise overheads and available space to use. It can also help to inform procuring future premises and identifying local education institutions to help bridge workforce skill gaps between current and future jobs.
