Jobs added

Question

Answer

What does the Jobs Added chart mean?

In the Jobs Added chart, we calculate the new jobs required to implement emerging technologies. The introduction and maintenance of machine learning tools and other emerging technologies will require workers with particular capabilities, i.e.: data scientists; software engineers; change- and project- managers; and educational trainers.

We do not try to predict the emergence of jobs that do not already exist in the workforce (e.g. Virtual Store Sherpa). Instead, we believe that current jobs are transformed by requiring new skills to perform new tasks.

How is Tech Job Addition calculated?
